Between The Footsteps & The Fall 2025
Geologically fascinating, North Devon consists mainly of shales, slates, and sandstones—sediments that reveal the remnants of ancient ocean basins. These layers lend themselves beautifully to textile interpretation, inspiring me to use natural wools, hand-painted muslin, chiffon, and mono printed calico to recreate ripple marks, fossil tracks, and tidal formations.
