School Dinners Through the Decades – The Food Museum
Commissioned by the Food Museum, this project features nine replica school dinner trays from the 1940s to the present day. Meals include liver stew, sponge pudding with pink custard, turkey twizzlers, and lentil dahl with flatbreads. Sculpted in clay, Jesmonite, and resin, each tray was hand-painted to reflect its era. A nostalgic and research-led exhibit that’s been a hit with visitors and curators alike.
