Tin plated brass coffee scoop with a hazel handle
During the winter of 2023 I carried out a residency in The Great North Wood. The wood was a common space that stretched between Deptford Creek and Croydon. I used the wood as a framework to explore what it means to be messy and imperfect. The slit in the handle of the scoop can be used to seal opened bags of coffee. Made within the historical confines of the Great North Wood with hazel coppiced from the wood.
