Reflections In Water
These artworks took inspiration from the celtic myth of the otherworld. It’s said to be a supernatural realm of everlasting youth, beauty and health. This parallel world can be entered through a river, a lake or the sea. This series, inspired by these folklore beliefs, explores the symbolism of water as a portal between the land of the living and the dead. By looking at the reflections in still water, livia creates a realm where they become portals to those she has lost.
