Community Project, Onto Soft Grounds
A community project created by Livia Papiernik and Chloé Rochefort exploring how textile processes can help us understand and discuss our sense of comfort and belonging. In partnership with Well Space Centre in Homerton, we offered people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds an opportunity to learn a new skill, meet people, and reflect on their mental wellbeing through stitch. The outcomes of the workshops were stitched together to create a multi-sensory textile quilt and installation.
