Kiln-fired clay octopus with melted sea glass eyes Clay tentacles featuring twisted copper wire coils
Learner statement:
I am honestly really happy with my octopus pot. The sea glass did melt in the kiln, however it unintentionally gave the piece a crying feel to it which I think worked really well with the original idea of restoring nature because we have hurt it, and the “tears” could represent the pain. It would have been even better if I had secured the tentacles so that they didn't fall off and if I had more time to attach suckers to all of the tentacles as I believe I only managed to do two. Other than that, I am proud of myself. - Kallia
