Learner statement:
'I had three ideas at first: for me, it was all about trial and error, finding the right thing to create. My first ideas didn’t go to plan but I found some empty paint bottles and sticks. I remember in a film they used a bouquet of different objects so that inspired me. I saw a lump of clay which had dried out and was unusable so that became my base. I mastered a glue gun and tissue paper! The world is changing and people think there isn’t much we can do but even just using recycled materials can make a difference.' - Narissa
Judges’ comments:
We really enjoyed the playful use of repurposed and recycled materials, and the fact that it was ‘all about trial and error’, as well as the reminder that we can all do something small to make a difference.
