I trained as a jeweller and silversmith, and now my craft practice translates into glass mosaics. My approach is to work directly with gem-like materials, exploring the reflective and dynamic textures, building the design organically. Inspiration is drawn from nature, the Arts & Crafts movement and the use of colour by the Impressionists, particularly Klimt. I work on private and public commissions alongside working with charities and community groups on creative projects.
I've always enjoyed visiting the beautiful Mostyn Gallery in Llandudno, so I was especially pleased to be invited to show my recent mosaic floristry in their Showcase 'In Colour'. My work is also being stocked in their gallery shop.
Opportunities Play Group Residency

This is an opportunity to work with pre-school children, staff and their parents on a collaborative exterior 30th anniversary mosaic. Designs will be driven by the children’s pattern making and selection of tile materials.
I am very excited to have had my work accepted into the Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft and be a member exhibitor at upcoming shows through 2019.
A 'real' exhibition of makers and artists on the theme of nature.
Wherever possible, I try to use scrap glass from other glass artists and re-purpose off-cuts of wood for backing boards.
