Scrap Threads - artwork June 2025

JPR Stitch tries to have a zero waste practice where waste is saved and reintegrated into new artworks. Scrap threads are a core of this. Machine embroidery creates a lot of scrap threads and off cuts, these are saved and when a large amount have been saved, they are used to create new artworks. The central area of this collection artwork has been created out of these scraps. The multi coloured effect would be hard to create without the integration of these scrap threads.
