The Ramie Project

This project aims at transforming ramie fibre into products through fieldwork research and development. Identifying opportunities and being the medium between design and community to bring a livelihood and sustainable income to the families in Meghalaya. Using the traditional skills and knowledge practised for centuries and the excellent craftsmanship too create textiles and material for interiors and spaces.
