A Collection of Places I Call Home, Suffolk
Taking inspiration from the places I call home, these pieces are constructed with the Suffolk landscape within the woven structure. With a strong link to the Spitalfield Silk weavers, known for within the Babergh district, these pieces are all created using fine silk. Hand painted silk, to reduce water and dye wastage, and shading weave structures inspired by the damask from the Sudbury Silk Mills to combine a cloth that changes as it catches the light.
