Creating from waste is very important and utilising end of cone mill waste from a silk mill has been pivotal to my practice. In addition to exploring dye and water wastage, by using dye techniques such as hand painting, small batch dyeing and digital printing to reduce water and dye wastage. I also explore each of the different steps of the process from materials, to making, to finishing for clear transparency within each fabric. Chosen for GreenGrads at GNCCF24 and Green Gown Finalist 2024.
