Crafts Council appoints new fair director for Collect

Crafts Council is delighted to announce the appointment of TF Chan as the new fair director of Collect, the leading international fair for contemporary craft and design.
TF Chan brings a wealth of experience to the role. He began his editorial career at the internationally renowned design and lifestyle magazine Wallpaper⁎, where he served as editor from 2020 to 2023. As a freelance writer, he has contributed to publications such as The World of Interiors, Monocle, Icon and Ark Journal.
In 2024, his first book, a monograph on the Danish lighting company Louis Poulsen, was published by Phaidon Press.
Beyond publishing, TF has held key roles in the design and architecture sectors, including serving as communications consultant and chief of staff to Pritzker Prize-winning architect David Chipperfield. He has also worked as a content strategist for a range of emerging creative businesses and lifestyle brands.
Born in Hong Kong, TF holds an A.B. in the History of Modern Imperialism and Colonialism from Princeton University. He relocated to London in 2012.

Melton continues, “I would like to thank Daniella Wells who has been leading Collect whilst we recruited a new fair director. Having been with the fair since its inception, Daniella will remain as fair consultant. We are delighted that she will continue to bring her invaluable market knowledge and expertise in collectable craft to the fair.”
