GDPR for craft businesses
Solicitor Alex Welham from Briffa Legal gives an overview of how to handle data lawfully within your craft business
As a craft business, you will handle customer data regularly. If you are operating in the UK, it is important to have a sound understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This was introduced under the Data Protection Act in 2018 to protect personal information used by organisations, businesses and the government.
In this video webinar, we speak to Alex Welham, solicitor at Briffa legal, to help you gain knowledge of GDPR, why it is important and how to handle data in accordance with the law. We also answer key questions sent in from makers and offer simple steps to help you ensure data is gathered, stored and used fairly.
