I make plant dyed quilts and bespoke art works. I grew up in California and my work often incorporates traditional American patchwork motifs. I gained a Masters in Architecture, followed by two decades as a producer and curator in the cultural sector. Searching for a stronger connection to nature and a more balanced life, I found quilt making. My work reflects the potential of discarded fabric and the power of natural fibres & plants to create more liveable environments.

In terms of my practice, I focus on choice of materials (e.g. plant dyes, biodegradable, zero air miles, organic, re-use). I also focus more widely on sustainable life. If I have a sustainable practice but do lots of international travel or hold a fossil fuel invested mortgage or pension, it blows my fabric choice out of the water!
