Contemporary abstract textile work exploring and combining traditional embroidery, textile techniques and the use of mixed media. Recycled fabric and thread overlaid with machine stitching is core to my new work. Juxtaposition and the placement of form and colour is precise and considered. The physical process of hand and machine stitching into the work tie the multiple layers together into one cohesive canvas. My mixed media work also extends into jewellery and experimental digital printing.

Sustainability has been top of my agenda throughout my career and applies to all aspects of my life not just my working practice which is why I use eco friendly and sustainable products wherever possible and employ responsible procedures to dispose of any plastic waste my work incurs through use of acrylics. Most materials used are sourced from reputable environmentally conscious companies and my artworks are constructed in the main from recycled fabric and incorporate recycled thread.
