Apparel Figure Series
Reimagining British Tudor female portraiture (1485–1603), this series transforms historical paintings into ceramic vases. Elaborate garments become vessels, using fabric/rubber balls to symbolize female breasts. The original paintings show noble English women displaying wealth/status via clothing/jewelry, suggesting "self-objectification." Converting 2D portraits to 3D sculptures, I explore "objectification," merging vase and bust forms to unite object and human anatomy.
