We are artisan shoemakers trained in the centuries-old, craft of handsewn shoemaking. Our footwear is built to last, cafted from sustainably sourced, vegetable tanned leather (a byproduct of the meat industry). It is fully repairable and designed for comfort, fit and style. We run full and part-time shoemaking courses at our workshop in Oxo Tower on London's South Bank. As Atelier Colby, Deborah explores leather's sculptural capabilities, moulding it into tactile forms and objects.

Our Bespoke Manufactured service shares all the qualities of our Bespoke Handsewn shoes – designed with your personal style and comfort foremost; made on your bespoke lasts from outstanding materials (for longevity); and hand welted in our London workshop. However the making is then completed by one of our specialist British manufacturers, offering you a much wider choice of styles from casual sneakers with a cushioned sole to walking boots with a rugged commando sole.

We've just delivered the first Independent Shoemakers Conference to an audience of over 200 delegates around the world using Zoom. After months of work, the film screenings, live Q&As and delegate meet-ups came together over the weekend of 19 -21 February for a much-needed get together for independent shoemakers and small businesses from Seattle to Seoul.
