I was commissioned to make cotton rag sketchbooks in the Japanese 'Noble' stab stitch style for Rekindle The Simple, who included them in their Mindful Wabi Sabi Scrapbooking gift box. 210gsm cotton rag paper with distinctive texture and deckle edges was combined with linen thread for a distinctly natural, handmade look and feel. Both materials are environmentally sustainable and the paper is fairtrade, and recycled from fashion industry off-cuts in order to minimise landfill waste.
