Hi everyone, I'm Sherlyn, a ceramicist from London, originally from Penang, Malaysia.
My artistic journey began early in my formative years, exploring everything from painting and air-dry clay to digital illustrations. When I moved to London during the COVID pandemic, I discovered pottery, and it quickly became a new way for me to express myself.
My pottery pieces brings me joy and I hope they can do the same for you too!
Focus:
I specialise in functional ceramic ware. I sprinkle a personal touch and pour in a tonne of personality into every single piece.
While the high temperatures required for ceramic firing pose inherent sustainability challenges, I am dedicated to playing my part.
My approach is holistic, focusing on key areas to ensure sustainable practice. I consistently ensure my supplies are sourced carefully and mindfully. Within my practice, recycling of clays and glazes is done routinely. Lastly, I rely on my studio to fire our electric kiln with a mix of green energy.
